LETS LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY

ISO_3246-Edit.jpg

I learned photography on a fully manual Pentax K1000 that used actual 35mm film. My husband bought it overseas when he was in the Marine Corps way before we met.  It became mine when we got married in 1993.  And no, this is not why I married him.. (it was actually because of his 1963 Chevy lifted Impala. Everyone knows that ;)

Publications and Exhibitions:

A series of 10 photographs called "God's Children" was displayed at the Tucson Children's Museum for about a month in 2001.  These photos included hand printed, black and white images of 10 different children all expressing different emotions.

Tucson at the Millennium, a publication of 100 photos as Tucson entered the 21st century. Over 1500 images were submitted for this project and only 100 were selected.  Those images that were selected were not only published but were exhibited at the Tucson Museum of Art. Originals are archived in the Special Collections at the University of Arizona Library. The image selected was a photo of my oldest daughter.

An image was published in SandScript in 1999-2000, a Pima Community College Art and Literary Magazine. Image included a photo of my brother and his wife on their wedding day.

"Isabel captured the spirit of our family in a fun and relaxed session. She was even able to get our crazy doodle puppy looking good in our family shots. I loved the photos and honestly, had a hard time choosing which pictures to have printed because so many were special. Thank you for creating these memories for us." - Nancy K.
